Fresno City Government Supports VASA - The Board of Directors of VASA sincerely appreciates the cooperation and support of Fresno’s city government including Mayor Alan Autry, Assistant City Manager Jon Ruiz, the entire City Council, Randy Cooper, Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, and numerous staff members in working with us to secure 2 acres of open land to the east of the Ted C. Wills Community Center at 770 N. San Pablo adjacent to the Cultural Arts District. While ultimately committed to locating downtown with easy access to the museums and other cultural arts organizations, this temporary location will afford VASA a large, safe campus with play equipment, areas to maintain a garden and fully interactive, engaging classroom environments.

Invitation to parents - VASA is currently receiving applications on a first come, first served basis from parents wishing to enroll their children in the school. Applications can be printed from the school website, www.vasaelementary.com/application.shtml. If you know of parents with elementary school age children, please encourage them to consider applying to VASA. VASA’s vision: Student proficiency achieved in reading and mathematics by employing a program rich in the arts and science in collaboration with community arts and science resources.
